Lisa Newman, IF, on BBC One Sunday Politics Show

Lisa Newman, a member of IF, who advise Golden Key, was interviewed by the BBC One political news show Sunday Politics this week. Lisa attended a key conference on the state of prisons in the west of England, investigating a decline in services available to prisoners and the consequences for their rehabilitation and chances of finding employment when released.

Her experience and expertise on prisoner treatment and working with ex-offenders to help provide a pathway to sustainable living and returning to productive work in society made her an ideal candidate to feature on the below BBC News report.

Lisa has also written a blog, reflecting on her experience of being interviewed by the media and looking at how those with lived experience can use their voices to create positive change. You can watch Lisa’s appearance here.
