Golden Key help launch new website for Bristol homeless

This week sees the launch of the Bristol Homeless Connect website, an online resource for those who are or are at risk of becoming homeless in Bristol.

At a time when homelessness is at a six year high, Golden Key, a member of Bristol's Rough Sleeping Partnership, has helped bring together the details of the support available to those who are sleeping rough in Bristol. The new website gives information from where to find shelter and food through to how to find psychological support and seek legal help. For the first time, thanks to a partnership of all the homeless organisations in Bristol the information is now in one central place.

Homeless people need to know what to do and where to go for help and this new digital resource is an important improvement. Recent research shows that 70% of homeless people own a mobile phone and a high proportion have access to the internet via friends and family. Being homeless doesn't necessarily mean you are digitally isolated. The new website also lists places where homeless people or those at risk of becoming homeless can go to access the internet.
