An exciting week in Golden Key
Last week saw a lot of exciting events across the Golden Key partnership. Here's a brief update:
First of all, on Wednesday:
The Peer Mentor Team hosted Peer Mentor Awareness Day. The event was co-produced by the peers and was a great success. There were 65 attendees, plus peers, and it was great to see some peers from Birmingham and Nottingham Fulfilling Lives projects in attendance too. Here's some of the feedback from participants:
“You can really tell that you are doing stuff with Peers as they are in the centre of the event running things”.
“The animations were incredibly moving and would be invaluable to use in training the workforce in how not to help people, I took away many thoughts”.
“I really enjoyed the whole event, especially the input of Peer Mentors. I really enjoyed the organic way that allowed me and I’m sure others to actually get involved."
“It was a great event and lots of learning – thanks to all involved”.
Also on Wednesday:
Work on a trusted assessment model is progressing, and this week a group of people from across housing pathways got together to talk about moving the work forwards.
Lastly: on Friday:
Golden Key hosted our second client open morning. It was a great success with clients, peer mentors, IF Group members and other partners all in attendance, information was shared and great conversations were had. And there were sandwiches too!
